Well, Tooth #1's neighbor broke through the gum line a couple of days ago. Both are just barely peeking through so I won't be able to get a good picture until they're fully in... however long that takes! JD handled it pretty well. He was a little fussy and has started to bite me while nursing, which will really wake you up at 3:00 AM! So, we're in the middle of learning to not bite Mommy.
It's getting cooler here now so I've broken out JD's sleep sack. It's a super cute wearable blanket that keeps him warm. I'll post a picture of him wearing it in the coming days. He's sleeping in his swing so I can't get one right now.
Update on the GI issues: He still has blood in his stool. I called the doctor's office about this before our trip to PA and the nurse said that it could take 2 weeks after finishing the antibiotics for the blood to go away completely. Tomorrow makes 2 weeks. So, if it's not completely gone by the end of the weekend I guess I'll call them again on Monday. Dave and I decided we wanted a follow-up stool culture done (even though the nurse said that's not usually done) to make sure the bacteria is gone. He was so miserable when the infection was at its worst, I would hate for it to get that bad again because we didn't insist on a follow-up! Depending on what they say on Monday when I call, we may wait until his 4 month shots on October 20 to have that done. I'd really like to discuss all of this with the actual doctor when we see him!
Today we are going to the mall for a few minutes and then we're going to visit my friend Liz and her baby Kendall. It's been a few weeks since I've seen Kendall (I didn't want to visit until JD had finished his antibiotics and then we were in PA)... I'm sure she's getting big already!
Upcoming: Aunt Debby will arrive in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday and stay for a few weeks. We're all very excited and can't wait for her to get here!
