I walked out to get the mail yesterday and there was a single red leaf lying in the driveway.... I thought to myself "fall is around the corner, even though it's eighty-something degrees out right now" Then I thought it would be fun to bring the leaf inside and show JD his first fall leaf... here are his reactions:
"I'm too interested in this giraffe blanket to care about any stupid leaf!"
"Hmmm.... well, it is a very pretty shade of red! All of the leaves I've ever seen have been green."
"Wow! This leaf smells great! Hmmm... I wonder how it tastes...."
"Let's find out... eh, not bad...."
"Here, mom...I'm done with the leaf now... got any more of that rice cereal?"
