Update...

Last night was a rough one. It went a little like this:

9:00 - Time for bed
10:00 - JD wakes. Doesn't want to eat so I rock him back to sleep
10:30 - Mom goes back to bed after pumping
11:15 - JD wakes & eats
11:30 - Mom goes back to bed
12:00 - JD poops so we change his diaper... I sit to rock him back to sleep and he poops again
1:00 - Mom goes back to bed
2:00 - JD wakes, has diaper changed and eats
2:30 - Mom goes back to bed after pumping
3:00 - JD poops, gets diaper change & eats
3:30 - Mom goes back to bed
5:00 - JD wakes... Dave is kind enough to go get him and keep him occupied while I get another hour or so of sleep. I'm up for the day at 6:15 AM.

Not much sleeping going on last night. Poor kid was hungry and pooping all night long!

The Neocate arrived on my doorstep at 9:30 this morning and I've been trying to get JD to take it all day. He hates it. He'll suck frantically on his bottle at first and then get a taste of it... he scrunches up his nose and pushes the nipple out of his mouth. The most I can get him to take at one time is 3 ounces.

The good news is that he's been in a pretty good mood all day. No obvious belly pains even though there is still blood in his diaper. And the measly 3 ounces of formula seems to hold him for a couple of hours before he screams to eat again..... I'll be glad when I can nurse again.

One good thing has come out of me having to cut soy: I am now 0.5 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight... if I can lose 10 more I'll be back to where I was on the day of our wedding!
