For those of you who know Dave you'll know that he's happiest when he has a home improvement project to work on... the bigger the better! The HOA finally approved Dave's request to install a 6' fence and a shed in our back yard so Dave and Debby went to Lowe's today and bought a few supplies to get started. Of course Buddy was interested in what was going on outside so I bundled him up (it's chilly here today) and we hung out outside and watched them work for a while!
While at Lowe's, Dave bought a cart to haul stuff in... instead of a wheelbarrow... well, JD had to ride of course. But he can't sit up yet so that means Mommy got a ride too! Here we are helping Dave and Debby and getting wagon rides in the back yard:
Other new things in JD's world: sippy cups, playing with his toes (kind of) and more mobility:
Here he is playing with his sippy cup. He doesn't quite know what to do with it yet. He chews on it more than anything but it's a start!

Here he is playing with his toes.... kind of. He'll hang on to them for a little while if I put them in his hands but he doesn't grab for them like I see a lot of babies do... I just think babies playing with their toes are adorable so I had to get a picture!
And here is an excellent example of his greater mobility! He sits in his bouncy seat and watches his Baby Einstein video. He always fusses at one particular part. Always. I guess he thinks it's boring or something. Anyway, we were eating lunch today and he was fussing. I thought it was because it was at the part that he doesn't like.... when I went to check on him, this is what I found! I guess he scooted down and couldn't get back up! Time to start strapping the kid in!
Lastly, we didn't hear from the doctor on Friday evening. I guess I'll call again tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully he'll call me back tomorrow evening. JD has been a little better lately. He still has blood in his poop but hasn't had a major meltdown since last Tuesday. He has fussed a little when needing to poop but nothing like he used to. I don't know if he's better because of the probiotics we've been giving him or because I already cut soy from my diet... I guess the test results will tell us... when we finally get them!
