I got the kids dressed in their spring attire and prayed for no screaming as Nana and I drove them to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny today. I talked all morning about the Easter Bunny and asked JD if he wanted to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. He nodded every time I asked but I wondered if he even realized what was being asked of him...
We got to the mall and met up with my mom near the Bunny. JD was very excited upon first laying eyes on the Easter Bunny.... waving and saying hi! I got Allie out of the stroller and handed her off to the Bunny and tried to lead JD to the Bubby's other knee by his little hand. He got about five feet away and put on the brakes.... uh oh. He was still waving and saying hi to the Bunny so I picked him up, let him give the Bunny a high five and plopped him down on the Bunny's lap.... and held my breath, ready for the freak out. It never came! He was as good as gold and so was Allie! I couldn't get JD to smile, he was too much in awe of the giant bunny holding him, but no smile is better than screams!
Well, on the way home from the mall I realized that I had locked myself out of the house. My keys have been MIA for a few weeks now so I've been using my spare car key. So I called Dave and gave him a reason to leave work early today! While we played in the back yard and waited for Dave I got some really cute pics of the kids!
