We had a fun weekend...and I'm kind of late getting this posted! Saturday was my 32nd birthday. We didn't really do anything, just had a lazy day at the house. My mom and dad came up to visit. Mom made a cake that JD (and everybody else) thoroughly enjoyed! It was funny. I guess Dave wasn't thinking straight or something because he was standing beside JD's highchair with his piece of cake on a plate. When Dave wasn't paying attention, JD reached out and grabbed a big hunk of Dave's cake.... like father like son!
On Sunday JD turned 13 months old.... so what's missing from this post?? The "bear in the chair" picture! I've decided that one year was long enough. I just can't get him to sit still long enough any more!

I know I've mentioned before that JD is obsessed with all vacuums. His latest favorite is our Roomba. All day long he pushes the button to start it and then runs away. If you turn it off, even if he's on the other side of the house, he runs back to it and turns it on again... silly kid!
And his newest favorite place to be: behind the cat's "kitty condo". We have it about a foot away from the wall because there's floor lamp behind it. JD has figured out how to crawl back there and thinks it's just hilarious! This kid really keeps me on my toes!!
No news is good news on the pregnancy front. So far all is well. My next appointment isn't until July 23. At that appointment I'll have some blood work done to screen for Downs Syndrome and Neural Tube defects. The anticipation is kind of making me paranoid... this is when things started to go downhill during the last pregnancy. The good news is, though, that this pregnancy is nothing like my last so I'm sure all will be just fine!
