Shots!

Yeah...the happy little boy in the picture below? Gone! Poor little thing HATED getting shots! I think I hated it even more!

He got 2 shots in each leg and cried so hard he turned dark red and stopped breathing. Dave was holding his hands and I just cried (stupid hormones)! His little leg (the left one) was bleeding and he whimpered through the entire bottle of breast milk I brought to give to him right after the shots. Normally he'll suck a bottle down in no time. It took him forever to finish 3 ounces because he was just so upset! But it's all over now and he's asleep in his swing. Every now and then he'll open his eyes and fuss a little but goes right back to sleep. We gave him a little bit of Tylenol to help his legs not ache so much,.... I sure hope it's working!

The doctor was very pleased with his weight gain. He now weighs 12 pounds, 9 ounces and is 22.75 inches long. He's growing like crazy and really starting to chunk up! Hopefully he'll make it through the next day without too much pain.... I'll keep the Tylenol handy, just in case!
