Boo!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. It was so much fun this year. JD really enjoyed seeing all of the costumes. I thought he would have a ball helping me scoop the "guts" out of our pumpkin but he wouldn't get messy... which is odd for him. Once I got most of the goopy stuff out he did "help" by taking the stringy stuff out of the bowl and putting it back into the pumpkin for me! Cleaning out the pumpkin has been my job ever since I can remember. I was hoping to pass the torch soon but I guess he's just a bit too young still.... Dave carved the pumpkin while I bathed JD and, after his bath, he got very excited about the jack-o-lantern all lit up on our kitchen floor. Of course we told him "hot" and it apparently stuck. He got up the next morning, saw the jack-o-lantern sitting on the kitchen table and immediately said "hot"! He's such a smart kid!My mom came up for trick-or-treating. We had chili for dinner, like we always did when I was a kid, even though it was 80 degrees outside. After dinner we dressed JD in his panda costume and headed out to a few houses. If you'll remember, he was a panda for Halloween last year too. Last year the costume was way too big for him and I had to roll the legs and sleeves several times. This year it fit him just right and I couldn't find anything I liked better. I can't wait for Allison to wear it next year!

Se we dressed JD in his panda costume and headed out down the road. Initally I was wanting to let him walk but that wasn't working out so well. He refused to hold my hand and was way too distracted so we strapped him into his umbrella stroller and hit a few houses. He got a good amount of candy for the few houses but not much that he could actually eat with his current food allergies. He got a red sucker that he really, really enjoyed, though.... Mommy might have eaten the rest. When we returned home JD decided to be stuck to Daddy so Dave spent the next hour or so with JD up on his shoulders running around and handing out candy to the kids that came by. My mom and I sat on the tailgate of the truck and just watched everything. JD finally crashed around 8:15 PM and slept until 6:00 (new time) this morning
