29 weeks, 1 day & no more bottles!

I had a doctor's appointment today and all is great. I showed up an hour early so I could drink the syrupy sweet fruit punch and have blood drawn for my 1 hour glucose test. My weight gain and blood pressure are good, Allison's heart rate is right around 150 BPM, which is good and my belly is measuring 30 weeks, which is pretty much right on track! I also got the H1N1 vaccine while I was there. From here on out I will go to the doctor every 2 or 3 weeks instead of every 4 weeks. So, pretty much nothing to report which is great!

In JD news.... he is sleeping soundly in his new room tonight. He "helped" me move his mattress and animals to his new room this morning and napped there today. He went down without any problems and, here is the biggie: HE WENT DOWN WITHOUT A BOTTLE! This is the first day that he hasn't had any bottles at all. We've been doing just one bottle right before bed for quite some time now and it was just time to get rid of it altogether. I figured I'd do it all at once. Since there is no comfy chair to sit and snuggle in in his new room, it made sense to just stop the bottle when we switched rooms. He didn't really seem to miss it. We put his jammies on then sat on the floor with a sippy of milk and read some stories. Then I turned out the lights, kissed him good night, put him down and left. He cried a little as I walked out the door but by the time I got to my bedroom and looked at him on the monitor he had already lay his head down and was going to sleep! I'm so glad he adjusted to it so easily but the real test is whether or not he sleeps all night. I sure hope he doesn't wake up all night long!

Now that JD has moved to his new room I can start getting the nursery ready to paint... taping trim, etc! I'll post a few pics of JD's new room as soon as I finish it up. I still have a few small things to hang on the wall, etc but hope to have that completed by the weekend.
